What You Should Know:

SPEA’s Mission: Prevent suicide by teaching young people to recognize the warning signs of suicide and to seek professional help for themselves and others.

Our program, Recognizing Teen Depression and
Preventing Suicide:

· is taught in 120 high schools
· saves teen lives
· reduces stigma of mental illness
· empowers young people to be lifesavers
· prevents the downward life spiral that results from untreated depression

Here are the SPEA Name Change Contest Rules:

1. The contest is open to all individuals age 21 and under.

2. Submit entries to [email protected], along with your name, phone number and home address.

3. All entries must be received by midnight December 14, 2012.

4. Multiple entries may be included in a single email. There is no limit to the number of entries an individual may submit.

5. The proposed name should convey our mission and our impact in an engaging, positive way.

6. Entries will be reviewed by SPEA’s Marketing Committee and members of its Youth Advisory Board. The top 3 names will be announced on our Facebook page by December 31, 2012.

7. The top 3 names will be used as a starting point for a comprehensive name change exploration. There is no guarantee that any names submitted to the contest will ultimately be used as a new name for SPEA.

By entering you agree to all of the official SPEA Name Change Contest rules. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and you will be notified via phone/email and a list will be posted on facebook.com/SPEAneoh.
